Obituary - Colleen Cox Lee, 66, passed away May 8, 1997 in St. George, Utah.
She was born Jan. 3, 1931 in Beaver, Utah to Theodore and Vona Rosetta Easton Cox.
She married Robert Hyrum Lee Sept. 17, 1949 in the St. George LDS Temple.
Colleen was very active in the community and the church. She served as a Pink
Lady at the Beaver Valley Hospital for 10 yeas serving as president for seven years.
She was a J.C. Jayne President and active in the PTA. She was an avid reader and a
great cook. She served as Stake Relief Society president for 10 years and a Cove Fort
Missionary for four seasons. She served in numerous positions in Relief Society,
Primary and MIA throughout her life.
Her greatest love was for her grandchildren and her family. She was a loving wife,
mother and grandmother. Her favorite time of year was Christmas and having all of her
family around her.
She is survived by her husband, Robert, Beaver; children, Debra (Reed) Carter,
Beaver; Michael (Vicki) Lee, Parawan; Bruce (Jolene) Lee, Enoch; Steven H. Lee, Provo
and Marianne (Joseph) White, Beaver; 15 grandchildren; brother, James Dale (Durrel)
Cox, Cedar City; sisters, Lena Rae (Lee) Rogers, Beaver and Shirley VanGervan, Orem.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 12, 1997 at 2 p.m. in the Beaver LDS 6th
Ward Chapel. Friends may call on Sunday at the Olpin Mortuary from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday
from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery in
Beaver under the direction of Olpin Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions
to the Beaver Valley Hospital in her name.
