Wendell Rex Packard was born on February 3, 1932, in Beaver City, Beaver County, Utah, the son of
Rex Shuler Packard and Tess Childs. He married Norma Jean Pearce on July 25, 1950 in Springville,
Utah County, Utah. They had three children. Wendell contracted cancer at an early age and after a violent
battle, passed away on November 9, 1962 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah. He was only 30 years old.
