Richard Pearce was born on July 11, 1877 to David Pearce and Margaret Griffiths in
Adamsville, Beaver County, Utah. David and Margaret had moved to Adamsville from Lehi,
Utah County, Utah.
Richard had five brothers and sisters: Margaret Ann Pearce born on October 30, 1871 in
Lehi, Utah County, Utah; Elizabeth Pearce born on February 20, 1879 in Adamsville, Beaver
County, Utah; David Pearce born on April 9, 1870 in Adamsville; John Pearce born on May 14,
in Lehi; and Jane Pearce born on August 8 in Adamsville.
Margaret died on April 4, 1874 at the age of 2; Elizabeth lived to the age of 58 and died
on April 21, 1937; David lived to the age of 78 and died on July 30, 1948; John lived to the
age 80 and died on December 13, 1959; and Jane live to the age of 88 and died on August 25,
1967.
Richard married Lottie Lavern Paschall on August 25, 1898 in Adamsville, Beaver County,
Utah. They had nine children, Richard Obra Pearce who was born on January 25, 1901 in
Adamsville; Othello Paschell Pearce who was born on October 4, 1902 in Minersville; Leah
Larue Pearce who was born on August 17, 1904 in Minersville; Earnest Cecil Pearce who was
born on November 17, 1907 in Beaver City; Ennes Follette Pearce who was born on July 14, 1909
in Beaver City; Margaret Altheda Pearce who was born on September 4, 1915; Zelma Pearce who was
born in Beaver City; and Garth Pearce who was also born in Beaver City.
Richard Obra Pearce married Mary Isabelle McGhie on August 10, 1927. He died on June 23, 1987 in
Sandy, Salt Lake County, Utah at the age of 86. Othello married Harriett Vilate Boh on July 17, 1925
and died on September 8, 1981 in Salt Lake City at the age of 78. Leah Larue Pearce was 3 years old
when she died on February 20, 1908 in Minersville. Earnest Cecil Pearce married Letty Marie Jensen on
September 7, 1937 and died on December 20, 1979 at his home in Salt Lake City at the age of 72. Ennes
Follette Pearce died at the age of 3 on October 14, 1912 in Beaver City. Margaret Altheda Pearce died
at birth in Beaver City.
The family moved from Adamsville, Beaver County, Utah to Minersville, Beaver County which is about
5 miles west in about 1900. They moved to Beaver City, 17 miles to the East in about 1906.
Richard Pearce died on January 24, 1919 in Beaver City at the age of 41.
