John William Carskadon was born on November 17, 1935 in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon. His parents were
James Raymond Carskadon and his wife Dorthy.
When John W Carskadon was born, his father, J, was 27 and his mother, Dorothy, was 26. In 1940, he was 4 years old
and lived in Portland, Oregon, with his father, mother, 2 brothers, grandfather, and grandmother. They lived at 6424 N Haight
Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon
John married Mary O'Connor in 1962, Mary was the daughter of
Francis J. O'Connor and Margaret Ann Dickover.
John and Mary had two children Brian Carskadon and Theresa Carskadon.
John worked for Payless Drug in Sublimity, Oregon. John loved to fish.
John loved to fish and so much so that when Payless offered him a promotion where he had to move from Oregon,
he retired from the company and became the City Manager of Sublimity.
John was a good friend and a great brother-in-law. We spent about 2 weeks many summers with them in their summer
home on the mouth of the Columbia River in Ilwaco, Washington.
Rosary services were held at 1 PM, Memorial Mass 1:30 PM, Sunday, March 2, 2014 at St. Boniface Catholic Church,
Sublimity, with a reception following. Arrangements were made by Weddle Funeral Home
