Betty Jane Williams
September 17, 1926 - January 7, 2006

Betty Jane Williams Beeson peacefully passed away on January 7, 2006, in the home of her daughter, after a courageous struggle with cancer.

She was born September 17, 1926, to David James and Lillian Martin Williams in the small town of Greenville, Utah. It was in Greenville that she met and eventually married her husband, Von Hayden Beeson, on November 18, 1946 in Greenville, Beaver County, Utah.

A life-long and devout member of the L.D.S. Church, their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple on December 3, 1965. Von preceded her in death, passing away on June 28, 1967.

Betty spent 34 years diligently working for Allen's Market until her retirement nine years ago. Affectionately known as "Grandma B" to all of her 10 grandchildren, she happily spent the last six years doting on her 13 great-grandchildren. She also found great delight in volunteering at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. Admired by everyone fortunate enough to know this remarkable woman, Betty was appreciated as much for her unwavering positive attitude on life as she was for the unconditional and limitless love she offered those around her. There will be many who will miss the countless meals she was quick to provide to those in need of assistance, and many who will miss the spectacular homemade chocolates she was known to prepare and distribute each Christmas. However, she will be missed most of all because of her charming personality and exemplary character. The world is simply lacking in people as exceptional as Grandma B; we are grateful for having known her.

Betty is survived by her three daughters: Pamela (Ron) Harris, of Provo; Rebecca (Gary) Graham, of Pleasant Grove; and Sheila (Bruce) Chipman, of Cedar Hills; as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Comfort Care, especially Donna Holt and Mike Smith, for the loving assistance offered to Betty over the last few months.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at 11 a.m., in the Slate Canyon 2nd Ward Chapel, 715 Utah Avenue, Provo, Utah. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Berg Mortuary, 185 East Center Street, Provo; and, on Wednesday morning, from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow in the Provo City Cemetery.

I am the resurrection and the Life, Saith the Lord:
He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.

I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
and though his body be destroyed, yet shall I see GOD:
whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not as a stranger.

We brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
The LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. AMEN

Betty's brother, Clifford James Williams
