Ira Baldwin Jr., 86, passed away at his home surrounded by his family November 8, 2005. He was born on June 8, 1919 in Beaver, Utah to Ira & Edith Briggs Baldwin.

He married Mary Jane Morris April 20, 1946 in Beaver, Utah and their marriage was later solemnized in the St George LDS Temple July 6 1963. "Ike" graduated from Beaver High School.

He served for 4 years on the Beaver City Council and as head of Beaver Wild Life Club for years. He was a active member of the LDS Church serving as the ward finance clerk for 8 years.. He was a hard worker, a friend to everyone, a great sportsman and willing to help anyone. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Mary Jane of Beaver. Three children, Mary Margaret (Alan R,) Kallas of Beaver, Ray Allen (LaReesa) Baldwin of Orem and Carolyn (David) White of Beaver. He has 19 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. He has one sister, Irene (Bill) Cox of Beaver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Joseph, Aubra, John Boyd, Gordon & Elmer Baldwin and one sister Elizabeth Dean.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2005 at 11:00AM at the Beaver LDS 4th Ward Chapel. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
