Zora (Woodward) Pearce

In memory of Zora (Woodward) Pearce. She was born in Beaver, Utah on April 15, 1936 and died in her home in Springville, Utah after a long battle with Lou Gerig's disease. Zora was one of twins, the other her sister Zelma. She married Max Ray Woodward on September 1, 1956 in Elko, Elko County Nevada. Max was born on June 20, 1929 in Neola, Duchesne County, Utah. He was the son of James Albert Woodward and Dora Eliza Barnes.

They had one son, Curtis Ray who was born on September 6, 1958 in Ogden, Weber County, Utah. Curtis married Star Lynn Gallagher.

Obituary: ZORA PEARCE WOODWARD
Zora Pearce Woodward 59, passed away on August 22, 1994 from ALS (Lou Gehrigs Disease).

She was born on April 15, 1935 in Beaver, Utah to Earnest Cecil and Letty Jensen Pearce. She married Max Ray Woodward on September 1, 1956, in Elko, Nevada. She lived in Beaver and attended Beaver County Schools. The family then moved to Granger, Utah, where Zora graduated from Cyprus High School. After her marriage, she lived in Clearfield, and then in Kaysville, where she has resided for 29 years. She was employed by Hill Air Force Base, as a Production Manager, and retired from Civil Service in February of 1991, after 25 years of service. She was a member of the LDS Church, Kaysville 18th Ward. Zora enjoyed oil painting, golfing, skiing, bowling, camping, fishing, and traveling.

Survived by husband Max of Kaysville; son Curtis R. Woodward, Midvale, and four sisters and four brothers: Marie Lish (Rex), West Valley City; Jean (William) Murphy, Taylorsville; Joan (Russell) Grimshaw, Holladay; her twin, Zelma (Tuck) Woodbury; Ray (Barbara) Pearce, Magna; David (Sharon) Pearce, Salt Lake City; Edward (Carol) Pearce, Magna; Douglas (Marilyn) Pearce, Taylorsville. Preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Funeral services August 25, 1994 a.m., Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main Street where friends may call Wednesday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to services Thursday. Interment: Kaysville City Cemetery
