Our beloved mother passed away at her home April 9, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was born February 8, 1926 in Beaver, Utah to Blaine and Ireta Morris. She graduated from Beaver High School, May 18, 1944. She married Ira Baldwin Jr. April 20, 1946 in Beaver and their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple, July 6, 1963. All three of their children were sealed to them. They were married 59 years when Ira passed away on November 8, 2005. On July 7, 2006, Mary Jane married Mr. Max Thompson in St. George, Utah.

Mary Jane was a hairdresser by trade for almost 50 years. She worked in a shop in her own home for the last 35 years. She was a friend to everybody, and had a gift of making everyone feel good. She loved to talk and laugh and could always find fun in everything. She was a peacemaker, always understanding and finding good in everyone. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

Mary Jane was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she had a strong testimony of the gospel and she served in many positions in the Church.

Mary Jane is survived by her husband Max Thompson, three children; Mary Margaret Baldwin (Douglas) Horejs of Beaver, Ray Allen (LaReesa) Baldwin of Beaver and Carolyn (David) White of Beaver, 2 step children Gary (Susan) Thompson and Janette (Brent) Jackson, her sisters; Virginia Marshall (Jean) Anderson, Nancy (Reynold) Dennett and brother Ray (Shirley) Morris. She has 20 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ireta and Blaine Morris, and husband Ira Baldwin. Her brothers; Blaine Jr. Morris, Warren Morris and a sister, Betty Baldwin.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Beaver LDS 3, Ward Chapel on Main Street. There will be a viewing Friday, April 12, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Southern Utah Mortuary in Beaver and again on Saturday prior to services. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary in Beaver.
