Became romantically involved with Old West rancher and outlaw, Ann Bassett

Was arrested in Lander, Wyoming and served 18 months of a two year sentence

Joined with Elzy Lay, Harvey "Kid Curry" Logan, Ben Kilpatrick, Harry Tracy, Will "News" Carver, Laura Bullion, and George Curry to form the gang called The Wild Bunch.
