Joseph Penn Barton

Joseph Penn Barton was born May 11, 1831 in Lebanon, St. Clair County, Illinois. He was the 2nd child of John Barton and Sarah Penn. His siblings were Elizabeth born on December 27, 1818, William John born on January 30, 1821, John Wesley born on January 19, 1823, Matilda Jane born on June 15, 1825, Julia King born on December 9, 1828, Sarah Penn born on August 12, 1833, Eliza Ann born on February 24, 1836, Stephen Smith born on January 3, 1839, and John Samual Jr. born on July 29, 1841. Joseph and all of his siblings were born in Lebanon, St. Clair County, Illinois

Joseph married Eliza Anderson on May 21, 1854 in Parowan, Iron County, Utah. They had five children: Joseph Franklin Barton born March 31, 1855; Amasa Miles Barton born 27 May 1857; Eliza Ann Barton born 10 June 1860; Mary Matilda Barton born 03 September 1865 and James William Barton born 02 January 1876. Joseph Franklin was born in Parowan and the other four children were born in Paragonah, Iron County, Utah

Joseph married Lucy Ann Butler on October 9, 1866 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah. They had thirteen, 13 children: John Hyrum Barton born on 24 July 1868; James William Barton; Phebe Jane Barton born on 02 April 1870; Jesse Lowe Sr. Barton born on 07 October 1872; William Penn Barton born on 19 October 1874; Lucy Ann Barton born on 10 October 1876; Caroline Elizabeth Barton born on 23 November 1878; Sarah Ada Barton born on 27 February 1881; Alice Barton born on 17 February 1883; Hannah Barton born on 29 April 1885; Clara Charity Barton born on 23 September 1887; Myra May Barton born on 11 April 1889 and Joseph Penn Jr. Barton born on 15 December 1892. All of their children were born in Paragonah, Iron County, Utah
