In memory of Kenneth Asa Barton. He was born in Greenville, Beaver County, Utah on September 19, 1899, the 7th and youngest child of John Hunter Barton and Eliza Jane Morgan. His brothers and sisters were Eva Jane Barton (1879 - 1957), Ray Hunter Barton (1881 - 1905), John Penn Barton (1883 - 1906), David Chesley Barton (1885 - 1967), Nina Esther Barton (1887 - 1905), and Ezra Cooper Barton (1894 - 1912).

He married Thelma Huntington on November 20, 1921 in Richfield, Sevier County, Utah. Thelma was born on August 2, 1902 in State Line, Iron County, Utah. Thelma died on February 17, 1990 in Beaver City, Beaver County, Utah. Kenneth died in Beaver City, Beaver County, Utah on August 17, 1992.

Kenneth Asa Barton, 92, died August 17, 1992 in the Beaver Valley Hospital. He was born September 19, 1889 in Beaver, Utah to John Hunter and Eliza Jane Morgan Barton. He married his sweetheart, Thelma Huntington November 20, 1921 in Richfield, Utah; marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death, Feb. 17, 1990. Kenneth was a veteran of World War I and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the LDS Church. He helped establish and played in the Southern Utah Baseball League in the `20's. Kenneth served in various leadership positions including American Legion and the Lions Club of Beaver. Kenneth, with his brothers, were instrumental in organizing and creating the Beaver Horse Races. He was a prominent civic leader, merchant, rancher and sportsman.Survivors: sons and daughters, John K. and Jane Jensen, Salt Lake City; Faye B. Henrie, Carmel, California; Brent, Santa Ana, California; Kaye Bailey, Clayton, California; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 20, 1992 at 1 p.m. in the Beaver 4th LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Southern Utah Mortuary in Beaver. Interment: Mountain View Cemetery.
